Camden New Journal - LETTERS TO THE EDITOR Published: 30 August 2007
Recycling centre is unfriendly • I COMPLETLY echo the sentiments expressed by Tom Young (Letters, August 23) regarding the misguided remodelling of the Regis Road recycling centre. The new scheme is quite astoundingly user-unfriendly. All it takes is one car parked badly to make it impossible to get either in or out of the centre and the number of cars that can access the space at any one time is greatly reduced.
Moreover, the containers are much more spread out, and hard to locate, which may require carrying extremely heavy sacks or objects further than is practicable. As Tom says, vast amounts of time and money spent to achieve an entirely counter-productive result. ELLIN STEIN
