Academy meeting
UNIVERSITY College London are to host a public meeting on Tuesday to discuss their plans for the City Academy school in Swiss Cottage. UCL provost Malcolm Grant said: “We will be holding a public meeting to explain our proposals in more detail. Specifically, we want to set out our vision for the school and give local residents and other interested parties a chance to put queries and comments
to us.”
UCL was criticised in July after it insisted it did not go through the open competition in its bid to sponsor the new school. Its threat to withdraw its offer unless it was chosen early on lead to one senior politician describing the process as a ‘back room deal’.
The meeting will take place in Lecture Theatre 1 in the Cruciform Building at UCL in Gower Street at 7pm.
