In the market for purchasing a teddy bear?
• REGARDING the Covent Garden article (Garden Piazza!, August 30) there appears to be a mix of facts relating to the section entered for Build-a-Bear.
Build-a-Bear is situated under the porticos of the North Piazza but they do not make hand-made limited edition teddy bears,.
Nor does my partner, Ann-Marie Owen, have any association with them.
Ann-Marie is a bear artist and does make hand-made, limited edition, mohair collectors’ bears but sells these in Covent Garden’s Apple Market, where she has been trading for 18 years.
She certainly doesn’t sell any of these highly-prized collectors bears for £8 but does trade at the market every Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday.
The error seems to be that someone has mixed Build-a-Bear information with that carried on the Covent Garden Market website about Ann-Marie.
