Build homes
• IN reply to John Lefley’s comments (Letters, September 6) I think instead of building a mosque on the area in question it would be better suited, given the housing and secondary schooling problems in Camden, to new social housing, a new secondary school or general social amenity that would serve all of the community. If people want religious premises then let it be a private matter and let their followers administer and fund it. As a council tax payer and someone who lives in the community, I see the the need for common social facilities as far more important.
What is wrong with the use of the Regent’s Park mosque? Isn’t it big enough? CLEM ALFORD
