Repairs at lock bridge
THE footbridge that arches over the Regent’s Canal at Camden Lock is due to be closed for emergency repair work.
The grade-II listed, cobble-stoned structure was built around 1850 to allow horses pulling barges to cross the canal and is now used by thousands of tourists and shoppers each weekend.
The work, which will replace slippery stones, will cost £6,500 and take three weeks.
