Holdzwarth proves five-star Hampstead’s hat-trick hero

HAT-TRICK hero Riordan Holdzwarth inspired Hampstead’s young guns to a convincing victory in the under-8s league. Kai Steinsson also bagged a brace as Hampstead beat Primrose Hill 5-2.
St Pancras (pictured) came from a goal down to seal an impressive win over FDS in the under-12s division. Harry Sanger pulled the Saints level before goals from Markus and Ricardo Gonzalez opened up a comfortable lead. Sanger went on to score his second of the game, while debutant Tyler Allen was also on target as St Pancras ran out 5-1 winners.
Somers Town were among the big winners as Moses Quiquine-Nicholls netted a timely treble against Soccerscool. Jason Kayila was also on the scoresheet for Somers Town, who came from a goal down to seal an impressive 4-2 win.
In the under-14s category, Isledon Wolves kicked off their campaign with a thrilling 5-3 win over rivals Lyndhurst. An own-goal gifted Wolves the lead, but Lyndhurst hit back to take a 2-1 advantage. Isledon skipper Enoch Adjie levelled the scores before Conor Maguire fired Wolves ahead. Lyndhurst hit back again to make it 3-3, but a stunning effort from John Escobar and Adjie’s second of the game wrapped up the points for Wolves.

• TOP youth team St Pancras are inviting budding young footballers to join their Saints Soccer School. Youngsters aged between seven and nine (school years three and four) can attend open training sessions, which are being held near the Lido at Parliament Hill Fields on Wednesday’s between 4pm-5pm.
