Gloves on for the Big Brawl
IT’S fight night for a host of top boxers from across Camden and Islington on Saturday as they make their way to the ring for the Big Brawl.
Being held in Porchester Hall in Bayswater, fighters are set to battle it out for a place in the grand finals, which are due to take place later this year.
In what promises to be a thrilling night of action, 16 fighters will enter the ring over eight different bouts.
Organised by Dave London and his son Gerard, who live in Gospel Oak, the tournament was organised in a bid to take violence off the streets.
Training in their bespoke style of street combat called Ged-Pain-Do, the father and son combo started running training sessions and competitions in a bid to help encourage youngsters in the area to settle their disputes with gloves in the ring, rather than weapons on the street.
Tickets cost between £15-£25, and coaches will be available on the night.
