Make it a happy Xmas with a CNJ Hamper
THEY call it ‘the party season’, the perfect time of year for catching up with friends and family, over indulging in favourite food and drink, and, if you are lucky, a few days off from work. But ask single parent families or the elderly who are on left their own whether they will be doing much partying this Christmas and you will get a sobering response. Hard-up parents will be too busy saving any extra pennies they have in the hope that they can afford something special for the kids, even if it won’t be the latest game console or a mountain bike.
Then there are the many elderly people who are on their own who just want the season to be over before it has been even begun. That’s why the New Journal is once again organising its annual hamper appeal, aimed at sending out as many Christmas goodies to the most needy as possible.
A hamper might not solve everyone’s problems but it can help put the party back into the party season. To make it the biggest appeal ever, we need your help.
Please send your donations to: The Camden Journal Hamper Fund, 40 Camden Road, NW1 9DR. |
