Arsenal warm up for Euro showdown with six-goal blitz

Arsenal 6, Sunderland 0
LIANNE Sanderson hit a hat trick as Arsenal blitzed the Black Cats at Boreham Wood FC on Sunday.
Rachel Yankey and teenager Sanderson both hit braces before the break as Arsenal all but wrapped up the win before half time.
Winger Karen Carney made it five before England international Sanderson completed the rout. Arsenal travel to Denmark this weekend to play Brondby in the semi-finals of the Uefa Cup.
The Gunners, who beat Brondby 1-0 in the group stages, will host the Danish champions at Boreham Wood FC in the return leg next Saturday (Nov 11) at 2pm.

Horley Town 2, Spurs 2
SPURS took a point with goals from Chanel Breen and Shadine Mars.
Breen put Spurs ahead with a curling shot into the top corner but Horley replied just before the break.
The hosts went ahead early in the second half. Breen and Carly Snell both had chances to equalise but Mars salvaged a point with a well-taken goal in the final minutes of the match.

Division One
Camden Town 1, Staines 3
TOWN keeper Karleigh Healey played through a first-minute injury but could not save her side despite her heroics between the sticks.
Staines hit Town in the first half and were 2-0 up early in the second.
Allison Forde set up Susanna Twidale to pull a goal back from the edge of the area, but Staines hit Town on the break to seal a 3-1 win.
Division Two South
Katabella 2, B Airways 0
KATS were on cloud nine after a convincing win over British Airways on Sunday.
Rachel Ojelade and Ewa Hollender were on flying form and Ojelade struck to break the deadlock.
Midfielders Amy Lamont and Jenny Berlin kept Brits at bay and the points were in the bag when Ojelade hit her second late on. |
