Martin, Anthony and Patrick Stokes (blue shirts) with club captain Alan Higgins
Knockout night for St Pancras

FIGHTERS from St Pancras Amateur Boxing Club returned to the ring on Wednesday for a special dinner show at the Irish Centre in Camden Square.
Club captain Alan Higgins was unphased by a late change in opponent as he took on Billy Nelson from Honour Oak Boxing Club.
Fighting over three two-minute rounds, the 17-year-old middleweight from Kilburn led by example as he powered his way to a points victory.
There were mixed fortunes for brothers Patrick, Martin and Anthony Stokes.
Welterweight Patrick, 16, put on a convincing display as he out pointed Battersea’s Stephen Gayle over three twos.
Competing at 31kg, youngest brother Anthony, 11, lost on a majority decision in his first ever bout for the club.
Meanwhile there was frustration for Martin as his scheduled opponent pulled out at the last minute. The talented 14-year-old won’t have too long to wait before getting another chance to step between the ropes, having been line-up to fight Joe Singh from Finchley Boxing Club early next month.
Elsewhere debutant flyweight Dylan Stokes lost on points to Stephen McCarthy.
In a final twist to the evening, teammates Ben Holman and Chris Zimmoch ended up facing each other after their respective opponents both failed to show. In their first ever bout, it was Zimmoch who came out on top as he sealed a points victory in the middleweight showdown.
