Young Gunners gunning
YOUNG gun Nacer Barazite believes that Arsenal have what it takes to go on and win this year’s FA Youth Cup.
The Dutch midfielder scored an extra-time winner as the Gunners beat Wycombe Wanderers 2-1 at Underhill last Wednesday to set up a meeting with Hull City in the next round.
And Barazite sees no reason why the under-18s side cannot go all the way in the season’s competition.
Talking on the official Gunners website, Arsenal.com, Barazite said: “Of course we can win it. We always want to win. We are first in the league and we want to do well in this competition too.”
The tie against Wycombe looked destined for penalties until Barazite smashed home the winner to claim his second goal since joining Arsenal in the summer. “It feels wonderful because I didn’t start, I was on the bench, and I hadn’t scored in a long time. To score the winning goal is a wonderful feeling.” |
