With friends like Mayor Ken
• REGARDING the upcoming London Mayor elections – isn’t it time to think a little about Ken Livingstone’s “achievements” so far?
He has destroyed (and continues to do so) one of London’s most charming and distinctive features, Trafalgar Square, by his pigeon policy. He has introduced a Congestion Charge which isn’t working. Bendy buses have as their chief feature more room for standing and excellent opportunities for thieves, and are a terror for cyclists.
With friends like Livingstone I doubt that London needs enemies.
Isn’t it time for Londoners to give him the heave-ho? Thomas Andrews
