Footy stars meet their Arsenal heroes
A TRIUMPHANT team of talented young footballers were jumping for joy when they got the chance to meet their Arsenal heroes after winning a prestigious tournament held at the club’s Hale End Youth Academy in east London.
Players from under-12s Ashe Athletic side (pictured left) met with the Gunners’ first team, including Emmanuel Eboue and Kolo Toure, at a special presentation evening at the Emirates Stadium after being crowned champions of the Ken Banham Trophy.
Managed by Everett Jervis, the team played the kind of football that Arsene Wenger’s side would be proud of as they went on to life the trophy, which is named after lifelong Arsenal fan Ken Banham, who donated the cup to the club back in 1986.
