Early morning noise on railway line
• WE are again woken on October 13 by a bunch of contractors shouting down the railway line to each other at Lismore Circus, Kentish Town, bridge area while they work. This went of for 20 minutes until we visited them to express our views on being woken up at 4.30am.
We informed them to use two way radios intead of shouting to each other and affecting the whole estate here with this noise.
How inconsiderate and unacceptable for contractors for the rail company to conduct themselves in this manner without any thought for those who live in the vicinity of any works.
We cannot go on like this.
We need to now when these works are being progressed and how long they are taking. We need compensation for the inconvenience and the effect it has on our lives.
This is the third time we have been disturbed from our sleep in two weeks, and it is detrimental to health and our working lives.
It is unacceptable to be subject residents to this noise abuse by thoughtless individuals who should not be working on such contracts and unless adequate action is taken to prevent this type of disturbance then we will be driven to take action ourselves.
We have complained before but there has been no action reported back to us. Can any councillors advise or progress this, it affects the whole community here and those along the railway line? CARL SANDERS , NW5
