Metres high

• IN two recently published letters by different contributors, both referring to the wall built by the Israelis on Palestinian territory, it was described as being 8ft high.
In Abu Dis the wall is eight to nine metres high, and it was to Abu Dis (Camden’s adopted Jerusalem suburb in the West Bank) that both letters referred.
