Eco-friendly bike show has recycling message
BMX stunt riders wowed the crowds on Sunday at a bike festival in Parliament Hill Fields. The day-long show, held in the playground of William Ellis School in Highgate Road, included a bike workshop with maintenance tips, thrilling displays by top stunt riders, a selection of wacky and weird bikes for people to try out and information about bike safety.
Other features included an exhibition by the campaign group I move London, which asked visitors to pledge to scrap one car journey per week and replace it with an environmentally friendly alternative.
Children had the chance to win tickets to London Zoo and see the stage show of the Lion King by decorating their bikes in a rainforest theme.
