Hat-trick sees Town home
Spartan South Midlands League
Division One
Kentish Town 4
Haringey Borough 2
HAT-TRICK hero Jonathan Donoghue inspired Kentish Town to a magnificent home victory on Saturday when they beat rivals Haringey Borough at Barnet Copthall Stadium.
Town’s top talisman opened the scoring midway through the first half before Lee Scott doubled their advantage with his second goal in as many games. Haringey pulled a goal back through Mark Maher, but Town restored their two-goal advantage when Donoghue struck his second of the game.
The visitors again pulled a goal back when Adeniyi Adedeji headed home from close range to set up a nervous finale. But Donoghue sealed a memorable win for Kentish Town when he completed his hat-trick, taking his personally tally to 11 goals for the season.
Town will be looking for another big performance on Saturday when they entertain high flying Brache Sparta at the Copthall Stadium.
