Rice finds net again as the Wolves bite back
Camden and islington youth league Round - up
ISLEDON Wolves’ fighting spirit saw them come from behind to grab a well-deserved draw against Crown and Manor and keep up their unbeaten start to the season in the Under-9s North League. Tom Walshe was in fine form in the Wolves goal, displaying bravery and assured handling, while skipper Jason Rice maintained his goal-a-game ratio with the equaliser for the battling Isledon side.
Goals from Connor Jones and Luke Rushe saw Hampstead Hawks come from a goal down to beat Peel on Friday in the Under-12s A League.
Tufnell put in a superb second-half performance to earn the points against Hampstead in the Under-13s A Division. Liam Magwood showed great composure in front of goal to bag a brace, while Remy Danily was also on target as Tufnell ran out 3-1 winners.
Lyndhurst Eagles took over at the top of the table in the Under-14s league following a convincing 2-0 win over Islington Tufnell Youth. After a goalless first half, the Eagles took a deserved lead when Connor Trundell added the finishing touches to a fluent attacking move. Tosin Akande made sure of the points in the final minute of the game, putting a well-placed penalty beyond the reach of Tufnell’s keeper.
