Nolan’s fab four as Chapel run riot
SHARPSHOOTER Eric Melo struck twice to help take Hampstead’s run to four wins in four games on Friday in the Under-9s North League.
Sam Arthur was also on target as Hampstead sealed a convincing 3-0 win over Isledon Wolves to open up a seven point lead at the top of the table.
In the Under-8s League, David Nolan hit four goals as Chapel beat Highgate
7-0. Shae Akoupouto added another two goals, before Junior Mens completed the rout.
St Pancras made it three wins out of three with a 3-0 victory against FDS in the Under-11s ‘A’ League. Hendrick Bungisa gave the Saints the lead with a bullet header before grabbing his second of the game when he latched on to Alex Tegene’s inch-perfect cross. George Yianni completed the scoring.
Two second-half strikes earned St Pancras the points against Soccerscool in the Under-12s ‘A’ League. Aaron Senior ghosted in at the back post to fire home the opening goal before Tyler Allen added the finishing touches to a 2-0 win.
Table toppers Lyndhurst Eagles are three points clear in the Under-14s League after a hard fought 3-1 victory against FDS.
The Eagles took the lead mid-way through the first half when Tosin Akande intercepted the ball and cleverly struck home from distance. Luka Dako added a second for the league leaders before Akande rounded off the win with his second of the game.
FDS got a late consolation goal when Eagles were caught on the break in the dying minutes, denying keeper Jacob Melser a second successive clean sheet.
Isledon Wolves are three points off the pace following their resounding 7-0 win over Regents Park. Remie Rifat scored his second successive hat-trick, while Enoch Adjie bagged a brace. Aiden O’Brien and Jay Tijani were also on target for Isledon.
