Girls’ school says No to bobby
LA Sainte Union does not want to have a police officer based at the all-girls Roman Catholic school in Parliament Hill Fields, the New Journal has learned.
Headteacher Sister Teresa Finn believes it is not necessary to have a permanent police presence at the school – unlike other Camden secondaries.
She said there were rarely any problems involving her pupils. “There is an officer based across the road who we could call on if we needed to,” she added.
