Dom’s super splash sets three new Anaconda records
STAR swimmer Dom McLoughlin set three new club records on Saturday as Anaconda continued to enjoy life in Division One of the London Speedo League.
Competing in the under-14s division, the talented youngster came third in the 100m freestyle with a new top time of one minute, 04.60 seconds. Dom continued to split the waves as he hit a time of 29.67secs for the 50m freestyle in the first leg of the 4x50m relay, where he joined forces with Daniel Jeffs, Andrew Boadi and John Rivers to set a new club record of 1.59.89secs.
Overall Anaconda celebrated a titanic turnout as members from the club set four new club records and 25 new personal best times at the Southbury Road Pool in Enfield.
Brett McLean set a new club record when he came fourth in the open 200m individual medley. He also took an excellent second place in the open 100m breaststroke. There were also superb individual third places for Mei Corbett, John Rivers, Morgan Mockler and Jake Usher.
