Jumble sale raises thousands of pounds for girls’ school funds
BARGAIN hunters helped raised more than £3,500 from a jumble sale at Camden School for Girls on Saturday.
Mary Kavanagh, who works in the main office of the Sandall Road school, said: “The atmosphere was wonderful.”
She thanked parents and the school’s neighbours for donating clothes, toys and books. Pupils baked cakes which were sold to raise money for the Red Cross.
Some of the other funds will be used to buy equipment for the school.
