We want a new playground, children tell Santa at their Christmas fair
PUPILS and parents at St Paul’s School were treated to a tantalising taste of Christmas at their annual fair on Saturday.
The afternoon aimed to raise money for a new playground at the Elsworthy Road school, as well as getting local families into the festive spirit before the holidays.
A variety of entertainment was laid on, including face painting, cakes, a raffle, toys and home-made Christmas decorations for sale.
The children also had the chance to visit Father Christmas in his special grotto, while for the adults the focal point of the afternoon was the luxury auction, with the chance to bid for exotic holidays and dinners in local restaurants.
