Former Camden Councillor Jonny Bucknell, Norman Black and David Bucknell
Mews muse closes books after 50 years
A BOOK-KEEPER celebrated with a glass of bubbly on Friday having called it a day after more than 50 years in the same job.
Norman Black, 77, first started work at the Primrose Hill property business run by former Camden councillor Jonny Bucknell in 1956.
He said: “I’m going to watch as much cricket as I can.”
Mr Bucknell, who presented him with a gold-plated cricket bat as a retirement present at his company’s office in
St George’s Mews, said: “Norman would go out of his way to help people – whether it was his responsibility or not.”
