Burglars’ bold game of bluff
BOLD burglars posed as police officers to bluff their way in to a King’s Cross technology company before tying up staff and stealing computer equipment worth hundres of thousands of pounds on Thursday.
The real police arrived at the St Pancras Way offices of Verizon Ltd at 10pm to find two female and three male workers had been bound by up to five thieves, who had claimed to be officers investigating a problem on the building’s roof.
Detectives said the staff were unhurt, but the thieves escaped with equipment worth “six figures”. |
