Busy elves have it all sewn up
ELVES at Fleet Primary School have been working hard to make their Christmas show a success.
Dancing and singing lessons and costume design for The Elves and the Shoemaker production started in August at the school in Fleet Road, Gospel Oak.
Pupils created posters, in the shape of football boots, trainers and ballet shoes, representing the footwear the shoemaker sells.
In the show, the quick-fingered elves emerge at night to feverishly sew the shoemaker out of poverty.
Classroom teacher Camilla Lissauer, who directed the show, said: “People are amazed at how confident our pupils are when they get to juniors. That’s why it’s important to include the infants early on.” |
