Winners of the Benchball Year 3 and 4 finals
A fine hall of athletics medals
ENERGETIC youngsters from across the borough ended their year in a blaze of glory when they took part in two special events organised by the Camden Schools Sports Association. Gospel Oak were crowned champions in the 2007 Sports Hall Athletics Championships, which were held at the Somers Town Sports Centre with the help of a top team of La Swap NVQ trainees.
The triumphant school finished with 147 points, ending the afternoon 32 points ahead of second placed New End, who notched up 115 points. Carlton Primary School in Queen’s Crescent completed the podium in third place with 106 points.
Nine schools also turned out for the Year 3 and Year 4 Benchball finals, which were held at William Ellis School in Highgate.
In a unique twist, children from Gospel Oak Primary School, New End and Primrose Hill joined forces to win the event under their new team name, Black Pong.
