Killing plea is rejected
TEENAGERS involved in the brutal killing of a young man in Camden Town had a bid to have their sentences cut thrown out yesterday (Wednesday).
Mahir Osman, 18, was attacked by a gang in Camden High Street in January 2006. Husean Hasan, 18, Mohammed Mohamud, 18, Abdirahman Mohammed, 18 and a 17-year-old who cannot be named were convicted on charges of violent disorder and conspiracy to possess offensive weapons last year.
They appealed against their sentences but Lord Justice Tuckey told the Criminal Appeal Court their tariffs were fair due to the viciousness of the attack.
