Boston edge Peel in thriller
THERE were just three results in Division One of the Chalk Farm Pool League this week. League leaders Boston Potters continued to dominate at the top of the table with a thrilling 5-4 win over the Sir Robert Peel ‘A’ team.
Unicorn remain four points off the pace following their resounding 7-2 win over Peckwater. Boston Boys are third after beating the Gloucester Arms ‘A’ team 7-2.
In Division Two, Murray Arms are now 37 points clear after beating Whittington Stone 7-2. The Cricklewood Hotel ‘B’ team are nearing the 100 point mark after they overcame the Sir Robert Peel ‘B’ team 5-4.
Elsewhere Unicorn Ladies and Angies both picked up impressive wins as they won their respective games against Regent’s Park and the Grafton Arms 6-3.
• MEANWHILE in the Camden Pool League the Sovereign ‘A’ team are 10 points clear at the top after they recorded an 8-1 win over Escape. Second placed St Aloysius were also winners as they beat the Victory ‘B’ team 6-3.
In the remaining fixtures, the Victory ‘A’ team beat the Golden Lion ‘B’ team 5-4, a score line mirrored in Cock Tavern’s win over the Sovereign ‘B’ team.
