Spartan South Midlands League Division One
Stony Stratford Town 1
Kentish Town 1
LEAGUE leaders Kentish Town came away from Buckinghamshire with a well-earned point on Saturday after a pulsating encounter against title rivals Stony Stratford.
The visitors enjoyed the better of the opening 20 minutes as Jonathan Donoghue returned from suspension to resume his prolific strike partnership with Lee Scott.
Stratford weathered the early storm and bounced back to take the lead on 26 minutes through Gary Flinn.
The Kentish Town equaliser came on the stroke of half-time. Roberto Quattromini was the creator as he played a defence-splitting pass for Scott, who unleashed an unstoppable shot.
Town were unlucky not to take all three points late on when Donoghue broke free of the defence, only to be denied by the woodwork.
