Eagles turn on style at the top
TABLE-toppers Lyndhurst Eagles moved two points clear in the Under-14s League following their five-star performance against Futebol de Salao on Friday at Market Road.
The Eagles played some fantastic football in the first half.
The opening goal came midway through the half when Tosin Akande slotted home to continue his remarkable record of scoring in every match he has played this season. James Goldring doubled the lead with a well struck volley just before the break.
The unstoppable Akande went on to complete his hat-trick in the second-half, while Connor Trundell was also on target as Lyndhurst ran out 5-0 winners.
Meanwhile in the Under-10s ‘B’ League, Islington Admiral Youth increased their lead at the top of the table to eight points.
They gallantly fought back after going a goal behind to snatch maximum points when they beat Brunswick
2-1.
Reece Crean-White levelled the scoring, before Joe White netted the winner.
