Cup kings shine in two-touch soccer skills challenge
CUP kings Copenhagen dominated a special two-touch football tournament at the Highgate Newtown Community Centre this week when they walked away with four major trophies.
Scores of budding young soccer stars, making up 27 teams, turned out for the competition, which was designed to help improve their skills as players were restricted to just two touches of the ball.
Copenhagen were in unstoppable form as they won both the boys and girls’ Under-15s title, the Under-12s mixed trophy and the boys’ Under-18s competition.
Highgate hotshots Jake Allen, Milo Tiney, Jarmal Julien and Joe Edwards (pictured) joined forces to form club side Fireballs, who won the Under-9s trophy in a blaze of glory.
