Goals galore in girls’ six-a-side championships
THERE were goals galore at Acland Burghley School in Tufnell Park as teams turned out for the Girls’ Six-A-Side Championships during half-term.
The competition was organised by former England and Arsenal Ladies defender Kirsty Pealling, who is now a Camden sports development officer.
Sides from Hampstead Football Club, the Winch Project in Swiss Cottage, West End FC and Cumberland played each other twice in a bid to reach the grand final. After some fantastic football, Hampstead proved too hot to handle as they clinched the trophy with a last-gasp victory over club rivals Hamsptead United.
