Chapel secure league lead

GOALS from Oliver Toms, Jack Price and Leshawn Awoyemi saw Chapel seal a comfortable 3-0 win over Lyndhurst to move five points clear at the top of the Under-9s South Division.
In the Under-9s North League, Hampstead are just three points off the pace after their 1-1 draw against Regent’s Park. Tommy Nevrkla capped off a stunning first-half show to give Park a deserved lead. William Ross, Elijah Hammond-Dallas and Timon Greaves all worked tirelessly to hold on to a much needed win for Regent’s Park. But a late strike from Eric Melo sealed a vital point for Hampstead in the chase for the title.
Staying in the North Division, Isledon Wolves slipped to only their second defeat of the season against bottom side Recreativo Juniors. Jason Rice fired Wolves ahead, but Recreativo stunned Isledon with a second-half comeback to seal their first win of the campaign.
In the Under-10s category, Hampstead moved six points clear in the ‘A’ League with a resounding victory over Isledon Wolves. Calvin “Kanu” Drew bagged a brace, while Osama Bello and Nick Lloyd Williams were also on target as Hampstead ran out 4-0 winners.
George Nash scored the only goal of the game as Chapel kept their faint title hopes alive in the ‘B’ League with a narrow 1-0 win over Regent’s Park.
Two goals apiece from Yusuf Ali and Tariq Turay inspired Chapel to a convincing win over Isledon Wolves in the Under-11s ‘B’ League. Yhann Mabanda, Kaleem Brandon and Leon Gilbert were also all on target as Chapel romped to a 7-0 win, to go top of the table on goal difference.
Regent’s Park are level on points following their five-star display against Finsbury Park. Veton Derguti opened the scoring after only two minutes to give Regent’s Park the lead at the break. A second-half goal blitz saw Park run riot, with Ricky Lough and Alec Jacoby scoring two goals apiece in a 5-0 victory.
The result of the night saw Chapel storm to a 9-0 victory over St Pancras in the Under-13s ‘A’ League. Joe Mann scored a hat-trick. While Omar Rowe continued his impressive strike rate with another two goals. Emmanuel Bell, Wesley Brooks and Leonel De Gama were also on target as Chapel moved top on goal difference.
