Camden New Journal - LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
Published: 6 March 2008

All up for grabs, including profits of sickness and death

• I COULDN’T agree more with June Gibson’s comments (Government provides us with a bad example to follow, February 28).
The country has gone so right wing it is difficult to recognise any element of “social conscience”.
The old and vulnerable are abandoned and those that do care are treated like factory workers.
Funding for social needs are diverted to wars for oil and military profit. Everything is up for grabs even sickness and death are a business opportunity.
The biggest villains are those that claim to represent us. Highway robbers were more honest in their trade. They didn’t claim it was for others as government and politicians do. They are in it as a plc career and a well-paid one as they climb the greasy poll.
Survive as best you can seems to be today’s slogan. Sadly one would do well to heed Darwin!
