Posting a complaint
• I WONDER how happy your readers are with the Royal Mail introductions of prices made easy and the size guide – letter, large letter or package.
After complaining that they have a large deficit and had to close post offices (to the great inconvenience of pensioners) they must have spent an inordinate amount of money producing all these red cardboard sheets which were sent to every household, so that now you have to pay more for using larger envelopes or medium-sized envelopes.
I find that I have a lot of larger envelopes and medium-sized envelopes which I would like to reuse and help to cut down the amount of waste paper.
But why should I pay 40p when it used to be 24p or cram my letters into the letter-sized envelope?
In addition I had to buy a weighing machine! We are reduced to measuring letters or checking with the post office how much to pay. Prices made easier? They have made it more expensive and more confusing.
In addition to closing post offices they have burdened us with this and stamps are going up again.
They are losing customers to email and this system is a sure way to make people avoid the service.
But is anyone complaining? I am furious about it.
