A CHARITABLE spirit filled The Pineapple pub in Kentish Town on Easter Sunday after it organised a colourful bonnet competition to raise funds for charity Obsessive Compulsive Disorder Action.
Bunny hats, flower-women and chicken-looking dogs were among those participating in the event which raised £240 for OCD Action, a charity nominated by British actor Roger Lloyd Pack, former star of the BBC sitcom Only Fools And Horses.
Mr Lloyd Pack said: “It’s a charity close to my heart as a member of my family is affected by Obsessive Compulsive Disorder.”
Aproximately 1.8 million people suffer from OCD in the UK, according to the charity.
“It’s a common illness, but very distressing for sufferers,” said Mr Lloyd Pack.
The winner of the competition was Pineapple barmaid Lucia Morris’s Easter fairy outfit, but the real winners were those who will receive the money to help with such a burdensome condition as OCD.
