An extra 300
• YOU report (March 27) on plans to expand and improve South Camden Community School (SCCS) through the Building Schools for the Future programme.
Camden needs more secondary school places – an extra eight forms of entry – and SCCS is in need of investment.
The expansion of our school through BSF provides a unique opportunity to provide Camden with up to two extra forms of entry, or 60 places per year group. This works out at a total of 300 much-needed additional school places – not 600 as you reported last week on the public meeting to discuss our plans.
It also means a chance to develop new learning space at the school to benefit all our current and future students as well as the wider community.
