North Mid youngsters scoop indoor title

YOUNGSTERS from North Middlesex Cricket Club were bowled over on Sunday when they won the Middlesex Under-13s Indoor Cricket Championship.
Made up players from Kentish Town, Islington and Finchley, the triumphant team beat Bessborough in a nail-biting final.
North Middlesex batted first and showed a good array of batting skills as they climbed to 149 off 12 overs. Zulfiqar Azom was the pick of the batsmen with a well-crafted score of 30.
North Middlesex were just as resilient in the field as Nick Friend put in a commanding bowling display to take three wickets, leaving Bessborough five runs short of their target on 145 all out.
