Boston’s champs finish pool season with a flourish
CHAMPIONS Boston Potters ended their season in style on Monday when they beat club mates Boston Arms 6-3 in Division One of the Chalk Farm Pool League. Previous title holders Unicorn slipped to third in the table after losing 5-4 to Swiss Guard, allowing the Sir Robert Peel ‘A’ team to take the runners-up spot with a 6-3 win over Swiss Scientists.
Elsewhere league strugglers the Cricklewood Hotel ‘A’ team recorded only their third win of the season with a 7-2 victory over Peckwater, while Boston Boys beat Boston Rimmers 5-4.
In the Camden Pool League St Aloysius proved they were top of the pots when they beat the Golden Lion ‘B’ team 7-2 to win the title. The Golden Lion ‘A’ team and the Sovereign ‘A’ team are battling it out for the runners-up spot.
