Peel’s unbeaten Under-11s side
‘Invincible’ Peel’s unbeaten run
A TEAM of aspiring young footballers became the Invincibles after winning the Camden and Regent’s Park Youth League without losing a single game. Champions Peel dropped just four points all season as they powered their way to victory in the Under-11s category, which is held every Saturday at the Hub, in Regent’s Park.
Star players Milo Blake and Kyron Farrell were presented with individual accolades for their efforts throughout the campaign, winning the Best Behaviour Trophy and the Most Sporting Player Award respectively.
Peel are also bidding for the Under-11s title in the Camden and Islington Youth League. Among their top performances so far this season came when they beat Tufnell 6-0, despite playing the entire game two players short. Tony Lysandrides netted a hat-trick, while Hanif Asokomhe bagged a brace. Kyron Farrell was also on target.
Elsewhere in the youth league, Hampstead are still top in the Under-8s League after they beat Chapel 3-1 on Saturday. Joe Antoni opened the scoring early on with a clean strike from the edge of the area before doubling the advantage after some fancy footwork.
Chapel pulled a goal back, but Trae Coyle sealed the points for Hampstead late on after good work from Riordan Holzwarth.
Hampstead also stormed to victory in the Under-14s age category.
Sharp-shooter CJ Burke took her personal tally to 65 goals for the season as he stole the show with six stunning strikes.
Jack Blain added a brace, while Elliott Powell and Josh Lee were also on target as Hampstead beat Harbour 10-0.
