Lyndhurst lift league title in debut season
YOUNGSTERS from Lyndhurst Football Club enjoyed a memorable debut season playing 11-a-side after they won the Division One title in the Harrow Youth League without losing a single game. The Under-11s side, who also have a team in the Camden and Islington Youth League, just missed out on a delightful double when they lost to Premiership rivals Spartans in the final of the League Cup.
Lyndhurst manager Adam Riches said afterwards: “The boys have done really well. Of the 29 matches played they’ve only lost two, the League Cup final and the semi-final of the London Cup to eventual winners Tulse Hill, which I think is a fantastic effort in their first season together.”
