Pub bounces back
A PUB left devastated in the blaze that swept through part of Camden market in February has drawn up plans to open its doors again. Licensees at The Hawley Arms – known for its celebrity clientele, who include singer Amy Winehouse – have filed a planning application with Camden Council for a new terrace. The Castlehaven Road pub wants regulars to write to the Town Hall’s planning department with messages of support before a deadline today (Thursday).
The pub closed after the fire which destroyed part of Camden market and forced the demolition of the former Carnarvon Castle pub.
