Gym kids on a high with silver standard
YOUNGSTERS from Camden Gymnastics Club were back in action on Sunday when they took part in a special silver competition at the gym in Kentish Town. Beaming gymnasts showed off their skills in a testing two-piece floor and vault exercise, where they had to score a set mark to move up to the gold level.
Despite missing out on the mark, there was a host of creditable performances as the club’s young stars continued to shine.
Ella Jones and Hannah Still both just missed out on top spot as they finished second in their respective age groups.
Meanwhile Lauren Page, Estelle Alexandre and Nicole Wanty also all made the podium as they finished third.
There were also impressive displays from Imogen Barber, Phoebe Ellit and Io Swift Wolf.
In the earlier bronze competition, Tilly Stone Wilson did well to finish second, while Naissa Essart Nielson, Mia Gourlay, Zoe Gray, Abigail Skrentny, Safari Christian and Maya Gordon also enjoyed their chance to show off their displays.
Elsewhere there was also joy for Naissa Essart Nielson, Mia Gourlay, Ella Jones and Estelle Alexandre in their resent level seven competition, as they made their competitive debut on the bar, beam, floor and vault to earn Camden Gym Club second spot.
