Mohammed Ali hits the big time with debut win
TWO young prospects from St Pancras Boxing Club were still celebrating this week after picking up victories in their latest outings.
First in the ring on the Angel Boxing Club show, which was held at the Boston Arms pub in Tufnell Park, was Charley Worley.
The talented 13-year-old was in outstanding form as he stopped Jay Sawyer from Romford in the second round .
Charley started brightly, catching Sawyer with a flurry of left and rights to the head. Sawyer tried to stand his ground, but Worley added some vicious straight rights and hooks to the body to stop his opponent in the second round and claim his third win of the season. Debutant Mohammed Ali made a winning start to his Saints career with a second round stoppage against Dee Parsons from Battersea Boxing Club.
Mohammed, 15, who lives next door to the St Pancras gym in Kentish Town, showed great skill and power as he beat Parsons with a round to spare.
