Alexandra shines for schools
CAMDEN scooped four medals at the London Schools Athletics Championships on Tuesday at the Linford Christie Stadium. The performance of the day came from Alexandra Eastman of Camden School for Girls who won the Year 7 girls’ 100m in a time of 13.9 seconds after setting a personal best of 13.6 secs in her qualifying heat.
William Fitter from University College School and Edith Ault from Camden School for Girls both won bronze in their respective Year 7 1500m events. Eurico Sebastian of Haverstock School also won bronze after finishing third in the Year 8 boys’ 200m with a time of 24.4 secs.
Meanwhile members from the Camden Junior Triathlon Club won three medals in their third London race of the season on Sunday. In the swim-run aquathon, Misha Newman completed a 450m swim in just over six mins and a 3000m run in just over 12 to take bronze. Team-mates Alice Keane and Mason Baylis also both won bronze.
