Camden New Journal - LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
Published: 17 July 2008

Where are police for real crime?

IS this unbelievable or what?
Five weeks ago a man walks down Camden High Street, urinates up a wall and, low and behold, the police are there.
They question him and send him on his way with an £80 fine.
Last week I go out for lunch with my partner and four-year-old daughter and walk past MTV.
Right in front of me is a man pulling crack wraps out of his pants and passing it to his “customer” for all to see including my daughter. Broad daylight, early afternoon – where are the police?
Nowhere.
After being a long-suffering Camden resident I think it is high time the police get their priorities sorted out, fast, for the sake of the next generation of young kids.
