THE Gunners blitzed Belles to record a third successive 6-1 victory on Sunday. Kelly Smith scored twice to take her personally tally to 14 goals already this season, while Jayne Ludlow was also on target.

Katabella 4, Spurs Reserves 4
KATABELLA and Spurs’ Reserves kicked off the season with an eight-goal thriller on Sunday. Norwegian midfielder Marit Undheim put Spurs ahead early on. But the home side hit back to take a 2-1 lead at the break with a stunning brace from Jen Coupland. Stavroulla Panayiotou brought the scores level but again Katabella edged in front when Coupland completed her hat-trick.
In a topsy-turvy game, this time it was Spurs who struck twice to take the lead thanks to Undheim’s second of the game and a strike from Kirsty Holmes. Camden-based Kats battled back to earn a deserved point when Lindsey Hall added her name to the score sheet to round off a pulsating 4-4 draw. Hampstead 0, Camden Town 4
TWO goals each from Mary Guest and Caroline Taunton led Town to an opening day victory on Sunday in their tricky away game against Hampstead. The visitors took the lead early on courtesy of a scrappy goal from Guest before Taunton, who lives in Holloway, bagged a quick fire brace to end the game as a contest.
Guest completed the rout with her second of the game after making the most of a deflected pass from team-mate Sharon Murphy.
