All ages call
COACHES from Hampstead Football Academy are taking tiny steps towards ensuring that their teams have a bright future after snapping up their youngest ever batch of footballers. Proving that you’re never too young to enjoy the beautiful game, Hampstead are now accepting players as young as three.
The academy, based at Haverstock School in Chalk Farm, have already signed up more than 80 players this summer. But as the club continues to grow, coaches are hoping to take in almost double that number and attract 150 youngsters across their nine different age groups.
Director of football Mike Powell said: “Our academy welcomes players of all ages, whether they just want to train, or are hoping to go on to secure a place in one of our teams.”
