Camden New Journal - Letters to the Editor
Published: 25 September 2008

Volunteers’ successes

• MY last Open House visit of 2008 was made to Kentish Town Community Centre, off Torriano Avenue, where I received a warm welcome and a coffee at the end of a long day.
There was plenty of information about the planned extension, apparently needed because the building is bursting at the seams with activities and needs more space.
The enthusiasm for the project deserves success and I wish them good luck with their lottery application.
Apparently, they will find out if they have been successful next February.
After leaving the centre, I popped into the imposing St Luke’s Church close by.
The newly formed Friends of St Luke’s hope to open up the church on a regular basis.
I would like to congratulate those responsible at the KTCC and St Luke’s for the buzzing atmosphere. Kentish Town is fortunate to have such facilities in its midst and such enthusiastic volunteers.
